Professional snowboarder Anne-Flore Marxer blogs about her visit to Japan and Niseko (we might have thought 'Japanese tempura' was a bit of an oxymoron, but she clearly enjoyed Japan).

Toa & Chris chilled but safe
We had some drama recently when AAC Niseko lodge manager Toa Ross and Chris Holmes from Outdoor Travel Japan spent a night in an emergency snow cave on Mt Kurodake in central Hokkaido with several others from their tour party. They were rescued very cold, but safe early the next morning, but it was not an adventure that either of them are keen to repeat. The incident attracted some international media attention.
